The Panificio di Camillo
Over 60 years of history
The Panificio di Camillo was founded by Bassini Camillo in 1963 in the center of Predappio.
Since that day, we've come a long way evolving from a small local bakery into a modern and competitive company.
Today, we produce bread (raw, baked, and pre-baked), frozen pizza, and focaccia which we sell Italy and across Europe to Mass Market Retailer buyers and Horeca distributors.
The use of modern technologies ensures greater food safety for our customers without compromising the authenticity of production: Raffaele and Alessandro inherited recipes from eir father that are still used today, ensuring that our baked goods retain the flavor and artisanal appearance of a typical “bakery next-door”
In 2018, we paved the way for the Panificio di Camillo to become a large entrepreneurial project capable of combining the passion of a craftsman with the efficiency of an industry.
Today, thanks to the RUSTICO MADRE® brand we are ready to implement the development of a new production facility that communicates our love for bread and for the local area, with the ambition to make an impact in a market that is increasingly driven toward fast production.

Il Panificio di Camillo cares for environmental issues
Our sustainable industrial practices are the following:
- Installation of a photovoltaic system to produce 320kW of electricity per day
- Exclusive use of FSC-certified cardboard from planted forests
- Convergence of production waste in a plant for biogas production
- We use reputable suppliers for our raw materials and we are starting an organic project involving farmers in our area to produce wheat from sustainable, environmentally friendly agriculture.
